OUR RUNNERS ARE CHARITY SUPER HEROES!

Run for charity

Last year our runners raised the amazing sum of more than £3.5 million for charities and good causes across the UK and worldwide.

Without their hard work, training and dedication many charities would find it difficult to do their vital work.

We can't think of a better way to crown your Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run glory than knowing your tired limbs have helped raise money for those in need.

About Mental Health UK

We are delighted to be the headline charity partner for the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run 2017.

Mental illness affects more people every year than cancer or heart disease and research shows that four million people in the UK are currently experiencing financial problems which are linked to a mental health issue. Four million more people who are facing financial problems are at further risk of mental health problems as a result. With your support, you can help those who need it, to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of mental illness.

Mental Health UK is the chosen Charity Partner for Bank of Scotland.

The joint ambition of the Bank and Mental Health UK, a new charity, which has brought together the strength and expertise of Support in Mind Scotland, Rethink Mental Illness, Hafal, and MindWise to address this increasing need within today’s society.

Sign up now and choose Mental Health UK when registering.

Once you’re all signed up, we will be in touch very shortly to help you get started with your fundraising. We will also send you a running vest!

If you have any questions about fundraising, simply get in touch with us events@mentalhealth-uk.org

Thank you for taking up this challenge and considering to support Mental Health UK.

Prostate Cancer UK

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer and every year over 3,000 men in Scotland will be told the devastating news that they have the disease. In Scotland, prostate cancer kills two men every day and 23,000 men here are living with the disease right now.

We know that ignoring prostate cancer won’t beat it and we have an ambitious plan to tame prostate cancer in ten years. By focusing on better diagnosis, better prevention, better treatment and better support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

However, we can’t do this alone and to make it happen, we need your help.

Join our team and run the Great Scottish Run alongside others who believe men are worth fighting for. Call Marlene on 0141 218 4760 or email scotland@prostatecanceruk.org to register and our we'll support you every step of the way.
